Each enables you to be captivated by the world of the Bible! What will it be - 8, 11 or 15 days? The choice is yours! 2007 marked the 27th year of our tour leading, and the November tour was our 72nd! It is cause for celebration that through those years the Lord in His grace has enabled us to take something approaching 3000 people to Israel! This delights us no end because we know that the lives of many of those people have been transformed through having a richer, fuller understanding of the Bible and a deeper walk with the Lord. A steady stream of letters of appreciation confirms this. We've included a selection of quotes from members of the 2007 groups further on in the brochure. They're all genuine! Honest! During 2008, we provide you with four wonderful opportunities to tour with us. Our Flagship Tour in September offers 15 days to bask in the glories of the Land and includes Petra, cruising on the Red Sea and exploring its tropical marine life, crossing the Negev Desert both by luxury touring coach and by plane. Marvels await you on our 15-day Flagship Tour and you will have time to relax in some of the most beautiful places on earth. We only arrange the longer tour once every three years, so 2008 offers you that opportunity. Needless to say our 11- and 8-day yours, though shorter, are no less wonderful! It is significant that many tour group members who have been with us before are now third, fourth and even fifth timers! That speaks for itself! Our Guide is Batya ten Brink, who has guided us for our last 45 tours! Batya is an excellent Guide and a long-standing friend. We are blessed with fine tour administrators - Barry and Carol Brown - so we have been able to search carefully for the best tour agents, providing you with peace of mind and allowing you to enjoy considerable financial benefits. We have never felt it right to offer budget tours: the quality of hotels we use is very high (4 star-plus) but never pretentious and our luxury coach provides comfortable, air-conditioned travel throughout. By any standard our Itineraries are full, but Lindy and I have a lot of experience through leading our Israel tours, and we have learned a thing or two about pacing them so that we are never rushed. You will appreciate that we reserve the right to alter the Itinerary if local conditions dictate that we should. The accent in our tours is on authentic Bible sites rather than churches, except where the two coincide! People of all ages are welcome, but a reasonable level of fitness is required if you intend to explore all the sites we visit. We need to move as a group, so it is important to keep together. Failure to do this might mean the loss of a programmed site if it has been booked in advance. When we encounter longer walks, uneven ground or climbs, members of the group not so able can still enjoy the area but will be expected to stay closer to the coach. Cover prices include Half-board accommodation (Breakfast and Evening Dinner), all tours and all tips for the Israelis who serve us, including the Guide and Driver. Compare our prices with other Israel tours, and you will discover that C L Bible Tours are not the cheapest around. But there are several reasons for this. If you examine the details, you will find that many others expect you to make additional payments for tips and also for tours they describe as "optional", but which turn out to be essential if you are to have a comprehensive visit. Lindy and I decided long ago that we should not indulge in that kind of commercialism. With our tours, everything is "up front". We seek to honour the Lord by operating with complete integrity. The political situation in Israel is always sensitive, but rest assured that every moment we are in the country Batya, our Israeli Guide, is instantly reachable by our Israel Agents via mobile telephone so that if any alterations to our route plan are required they are put into effect immediately. Obviously we do not go anywhere near trouble spots. We are not stupid and will not expose you to risk. Foolhardiness is not a virtue - even in Christians! Israeli food is delicious and it presents no problem to the European palate! The self-service Israeli breakfast is world-renowned! A light lunch at mid-day is all you need because we have a full three-course Dinner to look forward to each evening. Breakfast and Evening Dinner are included in the cover price. Medical needs are well provided for in Israel. A doctor is on call at each hotel we use and every town has a high-class Pharmacy. It is important to tell your own GP that you intend to visit Israel because he may recommend some injections. They need to be administered around two months ahead of the tour, so be sure to inform your GP in good time. If your health is less than normal, you owe it to the group to have your condition checked by your GP. Please do not travel if there is a risk that your state of health might jeopardise the welfare of the tour group. If you are a diabetic or coeliac it will present no problem in the hotels, but you must let us know at the time of booking. Smoking can be unpleasant to other members of the group, so we ask smokers to refrain from smoking in the coach and at the meal table. "Will we have opportunities for fellowship?" Yes, of course! We shall be together much of the time so prayer and Bible study occur throughout the day at the locations we visit. Although we seek to glorify the Lord God of Israel and our Lord Jesus Christ throughout the tour, non-believers that come on the tours are never made to feel "got at": we do not believe in "ramming the Bible down people's throats". We do not need to: God's Word speaks for itself - especially when we are in the actual locations where the words of Scripture were spoken and the deeds performed! However, Lindy and I, Barry and Carol are available at any time to answer questions and to speak with folks about spiritual matters. Dress Code needs a mention. At religious sites it is appropriate to cover shoulders and knees. A wrap-over skirt and scarf for the women and a pair of light-weight trousers for the men provide the simple answer. These can be kept in the coach and slipped on over your lighter clothes where necessary. We'll tell you when! Price surcharges! In the unlikely event of major increase in the value of the US dollar, it may be necessary to impose a small surcharge. A surcharge could also be levied in the event of increases in flight and hotel prices. As you will appreciate, such matters are quite beyond our control. Holiday and Medical Insurance is obligatory. You will not be able to travel without it. We are able to advise you on Travel Insurance but if you decide to use your own Holiday Insurance Company make sure you are adequately covered. Cheap deals are not always good deals! You will be required to provide the name of your Insurance Company and the Policy Number when you pay the final balance. If the tour is cancelled due to Foreign Office advice, you will lose your Deposit (£250). We will normally cancel a tour only if the British Foreign Office advises it. Cut off point! If you book within ten weeks of departure you will be asked to pay the whole amount "up front". We anticipate large numbers, but in order to keep the group as intimate as possible, we are not prepared to use more than one coach. So to avoid disappointment we strongly recommend early booking. Let's summarize: NOT INCLUDED IN THE ADVERTISED PRICE 1] Holiday and Medical Insurance (vitally important) 2] Single Room Supplement - £190 (8 days) £260 (11 days) £384 (15 days) 3] Travel to and from your home to the airport 4] Midday lunches THE ADVERTISED PRICE INCLUDES 1] Return Flights between London and Tel Aviv, airport taxes and assistance with Check-in at airports 2] Hotel accommodation on a share basis at 4 star-plus Jewish hotels in twin-bedded rooms. Send the Form, with your non-returnable deposit cheque to Barry and Carol Brown. The full address is on the Form. We ask you to pay by cheque. Please make it payable to "C L BIBLE TOURS". So, there it is. The trip of a lifetime? We think so. Are our tours really as good as people say they are? There is only one way to find out - come and see! Hundreds of others have done it and many of them return with us - some have been five times! So pray about it and if the Lord says "Go!" give three cheers, jump up and down and book! We shall be thrilled if you are able to join us on one of our 2008 Bible tours in Israel. May the Lord God of Israel guide your decision Shalom! Chris and Lindy

What people say about us Here is a selection of quotes from letters of appreciation received following the 2007 tours. "I have wanted to go to Israel for many years and God turned my dream into reality. We were blessed by your teaching, Chris and by Batya (such a knowledgeable Guide) and so well looked after by Lindy, Barry and Carol, not to mention the safe driving by Dudi … we were so blessed by every minute: we talk about it every day!" G & S T, South Woodham Ferrers "Although we went out 14 years ago with _____ … we covered so much this time that we were not able to then. You helped to open our eyes afresh to many of the Scriptures … we have so many wonderful memories and are so grateful to you. We will certainly be promoting "C L Tours"! Rev L & M D, Coalville "Apart from all the sites, sounds and smells of Israel, the highlight of the whole tour was the wonderful teaching from the Word of God at the various sites we visited … it was unforgettable … we shall certainly be telling everyone about it, and we would encourage you, Chris, to go on with the proclamation of the Word of God which is so lacking in these dark days." E & C S, Bedford "Thank you so much … your team - yourself, Lindy, Barry and Batya the Guide - provided a wonderful, unforgettable experience with a well balanced itinerary, a wealth of historical detail and a sensitive sharing of God's Word" L & L C Thornton Cleveleys "Everything was so very delightful … the hotels were superb … thank you so much for your faithful and helpful ministry of the Word … I just praise the Lord for the whole experience …" R R, Chelmsford "I want to thank you all very much for my first Israel visit over the last 11 days. I am a new creation now: I only have to call on Jesus Messiah and feel it's true!" E P, Enfield "… we want to say thank you so much, Barry and Carol, for all your care and thoughtful organization which has made our visit to Israel so memorable and enjoyable.
